My books reflect, directly or indirectly, my own life experiences – whether the heartaches of a teenager in love (as in Kevin’s notebook) or the struggles of a young person questioning his family’s faith (as in “Beyond Belief”). They also highlight a range of current social and political issues – from Brexit and immigration to homophobia and racism. Not all those issues directly affect my own life, but they certainly affect Kevin and his family and friends.
